    Gem County Fire-EMS maintains three fire stations; one in Emmett built in 1983, one in Letha built in 2002, and one at the intersection of Butte road and Van Deusen road built in 2010. The stations are manned by 4 full time employees and over 40 trained volunteer firefighters who are from various backgrounds from farmers to executives. Th

    Gem County Fire-EMS maintains three fire stations; one in Emmett built in 1983, one in Letha built in 2002, and one at the intersection of Butte road and Van Deusen road built in 2010. The stations are manned by 4 full time employees and over 40 trained volunteer firefighters who are from various backgrounds from farmers to executives. The Fire District has 3 Command vehicles, 2 engines, 3 water tenders, 3 light brush trucks, 3 heavy brush trucks, 1 ladder truck, 1 extrication/rescue truck, 1 UTV, and 1 Rescue raft.

    EMS

    Gem County Fire-EMS has a total of 5 ambulances and one Command Vehicle, 4 ambulances are stationed at station #4 in Emmett and 1 is stationed in the Sweet area. Gem County Fire-EMS provides emergency medical services to all of Gem County. The station in Emmett is staffed with 1 Paramedic and 1 EMT 24 hours a day. During the event of mult

    Gem County Fire-EMS has a total of 5 ambulances and one Command Vehicle, 4 ambulances are stationed at station #4 in Emmett and 1 is stationed in the Sweet area. Gem County Fire-EMS provides emergency medical services to all of Gem County. The station in Emmett is staffed with 1 Paramedic and 1 EMT 24 hours a day. During the event of multiple calls at the same time a on call crew responds for coverage of additional emergency calls. The department employs over 44 employees trained to respond to medical emergencies.
